One of my poetry dreams has come true: I've been nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Permafrost Magazine! I'm in love with Permafrost's eclectic, forceful work, so it's especially honoring to be one of their nominations. They've also published an interview with me which includes steamy details about my writing rituals and my queerness! Permafrost is totally my magazine soul mate right now.
The vibrant Cactus Heart Magazine has published my poem "#racetogether", about Starbucks' ill-fated campaign to encourage its baristas to talk to customers about racial issues while they waited for their lattes. I'm honored to be in this magazine, which I've admired for a while! You can buy the e-issue containing my poem and many other great pieces here.
